Dr. Goggin recently attended the annual meeting of the American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics, held February 24,25 in Chicago, IL. Dr. Goggin is one of only a few surgeons who is an active member of the American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics.
Dr. Goggin is excited to attend this meeting so that she can learn about dentistry outside her specialty. This enables her to work better with other dentists by having an idea of what is going on in patient care across the dental field, not just in periodontology. Because of this learning, Dr. Goggin is able to better serve patients because she is educated about treatment options that can help with complex issues patients may have. This also means Asheville Periodontics is up to date on the latest technology and advances in the dental profession.
This year , Dr. Goggin was able to hear leaders in the field of prosthodontics speak on a variety of topics under the umbrella of Comprehensive Management of Prosthodontics Challenges. In addition, she participated in a select intensive hands-on workshop through Straumann Dental Implants focused on Full-Arch Guided Surgery and Prosthodontic Restorations: Smile in a Box.
